History

Villa Claudia was built as a wedding gift by Ferdinando Arborio, Duke of Sartirana and Marquis of Breme, who chose it as his lakeside residence on the occasion of his marriage to Princess Luisa Dal Pozzo della Cisterna in 1827.

Since then, Villa Claudia has always remained in the family, and today the Marquises Dal Pozzo d’Annone preserve its authentic romantic flavor by hosting events, parties, wedding receptions and leisure stays.

Located in the town of Belgirate and overlooking the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore, a few kilometers from the Borromean Islands, Villa Claudia combines refined finishes with the exclusivity of its location.

Charm and romance are the hallmarks of one of the oldest villas on the lake, which retains all the flavor of the Victorian era. The interiors, enriched with paintings of great importance, famous portraits by great masters and precious furnishings from the 16th to the 19th centuries, welcome guests into a setting of times gone by.

The centuries-old park overlooking Lake Maggiore, where you can stroll among lush vegetation rich in ancient and rare species, waterfalls, azalea bushes, rhododendrons, camellias, magnolias, and hydrangeas, offers magical moments.
